Maritime Link-Up Webinar

The ACMF Annual Maritime Link-Up webinar held on September 9th , 2022. Themed, Caribbean Maritime Excellence: The Next Generation, with Keynote Presenter Senator the Hon. Lisa Cummins, Barbados Minister of Tourism and International Transport. Marc Sampson, president of the Caribbean Shipping Association opened the program, and Emerson Alleyne, former EVP, Shipping Association of Barbados led discussions about Job and scholarship opportunities.

2021 Anchor Awards

The American Caribbean Maritime Foundation hosted our annual Anchor Awards at The Fort Lauderdale Yacht Club on Friday November 12, 2021, representing a jubilant return to in-person events. The evening raised $640,000 for our scholarships, grants and computers, with our guests celebrating the achievements of our 2021 honorees: Ms. Alyse Lisk, SVP, Technology and Operational Excellence, TOTE; and Mr. Harriat Maragh, President, Lannaman & Morris Shipping Ltd. of Jamaica (posthumous).

2020 Anchor Awards

The American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF) held its 2020 Anchor Awards on October 8 virtually.  The honorees were maritime and shipping industry top brass: Rick Sasso, Executive Chairman, MSC Cruises USA; and Win Thurber, Chairman, President and CEO, Norton Lilly International.

2019 Anchor Awards

The American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF) held its 2019 Anchor Awards on October 11 at the New York Yacht Club, honoring three stalwarts of the maritime and shipping industry, and welcoming guests from across the Caribbean, Latin America, UAE and Europe.

2018 Anchor Awards

The American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF) held its inaugural Anchor Awards on October 18 at the New York Yacht Club, a celebration that packed out the venue and brought guests from across the Caribbean and the United States, including from Cayman, The Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica, Suriname, Florida, Connecticut, Texas, Washington, and New Jersey.
