Scholarships

Giving opportunities are designed to address the diversity of need among Caribbean students, develop essential infrastructure to increase capacity in maritime training institutions, and develop of maritime communities.

ACMF Scholarships are offered to students with strong academic performance along with demonstrated leadership, service and community involvement.

Fern Khan Grant

The award known as The ACMF Fern Khan Grant is open to returning students registered to the University for Pre-University and Undergraduate degree programmes who meet the specified criteria.  The grant celebrates Jamaican-American Fern Khan’s 60 years in academia, retiring as Dean of the Division of Continuing Education at Bank Street College of Education.

Grants and bursaries are offered to students with good academic standing and compelling financial need.

How to apply

In order to be considered for any ACMF scholarship or grant, candidates must complete the relevant Free Scholarship Application Form OR Free Grant Application Form.

Please send the completed application to executivedirector@acmfdn.org with a copy to Ms. Elaine Hayden at the Caribbean Maritime University erhayden@cmi.edu.jm. Applications will not be considered unless they are submitted accordingly.

Eligibility for the scholarship is determined through a review of both financial need and merit.

The ACMF board of directors has the sole discretion to make final decisions with respect to financial assistance.
