Scholarship awards address a cross section of student needs

Giving opportunities are designed to address the diversity of need among Caribbean students, develop essential infrastructure to increase capacity in maritime training institutions, and develop of maritime communities.

ACMF Scholarships are offered to students with strong academic performance along with demonstrated leadership, service and community involvement.  Grants and bursaries are offered to students with good academic standing and compelling financial need.

Scholarships for victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria

As a result of the devastation to many islands caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria the latter part of 2017, we have created a special scholarship, The Bridge Scholarship, for displaced students to study at the Caribbean Maritime University.

How to apply

In order to be considered for any ACMF scholarship or grant, candidates must complete the relevant Free Application Form. Please send the completed application to with a copy to Ms. Elaine Hayden at the Caribbean Maritime University Applications will not be considered unless they are submitted accordingly.

Eligibility for the scholarship is determined through a review of both financial need and merit.

The ACMF board of directors has the sole discretion to make final decisions with respect to financial assistance.
